Media Walls with Fireplace
Bespoke Media Walls with Fireplace - The Perfect Focal Point
Combine your television, fireplace and storage into a single bespoke built-in unit. No chimney required. No cable mess.
Why Media Walls with a Fireplace Are So Popular
A media wall with an integrated fireplace gives a living room something that no other single piece of furniture can - a genuine focal point that works all year round. In the evening, the fireplace creates warmth and ambience below the screen. During the day, the wall looks like a considered, designed feature rather than a collection of separate items.
The popularity of electric fireplaces has made this combination far more accessible than it used to be. There is no need for a chimney, no gas supply and no building regulations to navigate. A media wall with a fireplace can be installed in any living room, including flats and new-build homes where a traditional fireplace was never an option.
Design Considerations
Fireplace Positioning
The fireplace is usually positioned centrally below the TV, but it does not have to be. We can offset the fireplace to one side, raise it higher or lower, or integrate it into a wider horizontal recess depending on the proportions of your wall and the look you want to achieve.
TV Viewing Height
Getting the TV at the right height is critical when there is a fireplace below it. We calculate the optimal centre-of-screen height based on your seating distance and sofa height, then design the fireplace recess and surrounding framework around that measurement.
Heat Output
Most electric fireplaces we install offer between 1 kW and 2 kW of heat output, which is enough to warm a typical living room. The heat is directed forwards and downwards, away from the TV above. We always include appropriate spacing and, where necessary, a heat-deflection shelf.
Fireplace Styles
Slatted Panel Features
Slatted panels are one of the most popular finishes for media walls with fireplaces. The vertical or horizontal slats add texture and depth to the wall, creating a backdrop that makes both the TV and fireplace stand out. We offer slatted panels in natural oak, walnut and painted finishes, and they can be combined with smooth panels for contrast.

No. The electric fireplaces we install are 100% electric - there is no real flame, no gas and no combustion. That means no chimney, no flue and no ventilation requirements. The fireplace plugs into a standard socket behind the wall and the cable is completely hidden.
Yes. Electric fireplaces produce heat from the front or bottom of the unit, not upwards. We position the fireplace and TV with the correct spacing and, where needed, install a heat-deflection shelf between the two. Your TV is not exposed to any heat that could cause damage.
Yes. The fireplace has its own remote control and can be operated completely independently of the TV. Most models allow you to run the flame effect without any heat at all - purely for ambience - or to use the heater function on its own.
Modern electric fireplaces have improved dramatically. The models we use feature LED flame technology with multiple colour settings, adjustable brightness and realistic log or crystal fuel beds. In a darkened room, the effect is very convincing. During your design visit, we can show you video demonstrations of the exact models we install.
