Children's Bedrooms
Bespoke Children's Bedroom Designs - A Room That Works at Every Age
Children's bedrooms need to do several things at once - sleep, study, play and store an enormous amount of belongings.
The Challenge of Designing a Child's Bedroom
A child's bedroom is not just a place to sleep. It is a study, a playroom, a reading den and a storage facility for an ever-growing collection of clothes, toys, books and sports equipment. Most children's bedrooms are too small for all of this - which is exactly why the furniture needs to be designed specifically for the space.
Off-the-shelf children's furniture is designed for an average room. A bespoke approach means every centimetre of the room is used - beds are positioned to maximise floor space, wardrobes fit into alcoves, desks are built into corners and storage is integrated wherever there is unused volume.
What We Design
Beds
We build beds to suit every age and room configuration:
Wardrobes with Flexispace
Fitted wardrobes with our Flexispace interior system - adjustable rails, shelves and drawers that can be reconfigured as the child grows. Low-level hanging for a toddler becomes full-length hanging for a teenager. Toy shelves become book shelves. The wardrobe stays the same; the interior adapts.
Study Areas
Built-in desks designed at the right height for the child, with integrated shelving, cable management for computers and task lighting. Positioned near natural light where possible and designed to provide a quiet, defined workspace separate from the play and sleep areas.
Storage
Children accumulate belongings at an extraordinary rate. We design storage into every available space - under beds, into alcoves, above doors and along walls. Drawers, cubbies, shelves and toy boxes are all built in so that tidying up is straightforward and everything has a place.
Design and Personalisation
Children care about how their room looks and feels. We offer a range of personalisation options to make the room their own:

Children's Bedroom Questions
Our furniture is designed to grow with the child. Desks are built at adjustable heights or designed to suit the child through their school years. Wardrobes use our Flexispace system with adjustable rails and shelves that can be reconfigured as the child grows. Bunk beds can be separated into individual beds when children want their own rooms. The build quality means the furniture will last well into their teenage years and beyond.
Yes - this is one of the most common briefs we work on. We design shared bedrooms with bunk beds or L-shaped sleeping configurations, individual storage zones, separate study areas and personalised details so each child has their own defined space within the room.
Not at all. We design children's furniture with adaptability in mind. A cot can be replaced with a toddler bed that fits the same frame. A play area can become a study zone. Shelving and storage can be reconfigured as toys give way to books, sports equipment and school supplies. Starting with a well-designed room means you spend less on replacements over the years.
